Mission & History

We are a community of animal lovers on a mission to turn homeless dogs and cats into beloved companion animals.

Mission & History

Our Mission

Find A Home Pet Rescue rescues homeless, abandoned, and at-risk dogs and cats, provides them with the medical care and comfort they need, and finds them carefully matched permanent homes.

Based in Naperville, Illinois, we are an all-volunteer-driven 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to placing pets into loving homes.

Our pets live in foster homes and at our Rescue Care Center, where they get the veterinary care, training, and daily affection that prepares them for adoption day.

What We Value

Compassion First

Every dog and cat who comes to us is treated as an individual with their own history, personality, and needs.

Community Powered

Volunteers, fosters, and adopters do the work. We are a people organization that happens to save animals.

Transparent Care

We share what we know about every pet so adopters can make confident, informed decisions.

Support the rescue

Every dollar goes straight into food, vetting and safe transport.

We are volunteer-run, so donations pay for the medical care that gets a dog or cat from a shelter kennel into a family's living room.
